DESCRIPTION:\n\nDark sector portals provide a possible connection between
the Standard Model and dark matter through mediator fields that can manife
st as light\, feebly interacting particles (FIPs). Although primarily sens
itive to masses in the MeV–GeV range\, fixed-target experiments are amon
g the most promising approaches for searching for FIPs\, combining high-in
tensity beams with low-background environments. As a result\, they can pro
be FIP–SM couplings more than four orders of magnitude smaller than thos
e typically accessible at collider experiments.\nIn this talk\, I will pre
sent an overview of the most common dark-sector portals and past and curre
nt fixed-target experiments\, as well as future prospects\, with a particu
lar emphasis on proton fixed-target facilities. To compare the sensitiviti
es of different experiments under common theoretical assumptions\, it is u
seful to employ tools that enable the interpretation of a wide class of mo
dels and the straightforward implementation of new experimental geometries
\, including the incorporation of real experimental data. One such tool is
the ALPINIST framework\, a publicly available code co-developed at MPP in
  Munich.\n\n\n \n\n\nRemote access via zoom: https://zoom.us/j/93858139
