Description

In soft-gluon phenomenology, the systematic computation of subleading-colour contributions to general partonic processes has long been a major obstacle to improving the accuracy of both explicit resummations and parton-shower simulations. I will report on recent progress in this direction, and then turn to the issue of superleading logarithms. These logarithmically enhanced, subleading-colour contributions arise for a wide class of observables in hadron-hadron collisions, and their appearance is tied to a breakdown of factorization between soft and collinear physics.
