Introduction to Effective Field Theory

An introduction to effective field theory, in particular the electroweak Chiral Langrangian framework, will be given. It will be explained how scenarios such as the SILH ansatz or the dimension-6 Lagrangian of a linearly realized Higgs sector can be recovered as special cases.
