Description
In this talk, I will present a canonical analysis of the Hassan-Rosen bimetric theory. Computing all constraints of the theory, we see that they are sufficient to eliminate the Boulware-Deser ghost. In addition, we identify a set of four fist class constraints which satisfies the algebra of general covariance. The covariance algebra naturally determines a spacetime metric for the theory. In bimetric theory, this metric is not unique but depends on how the first class constraints are identified.
