I present a formalism for the resummation of non-global QCD observables beyond leading logarithmic accuracy. I will describe the derivation of a set of integro-differential equations that govern the dynamics of soft radiation in the planar limit, and perform a fixed-order expansion of the out-of-jet energy and transverse energy distributions at lepton colliders. I finally comment on the solution of the system of equations by means of Monte Carlo methods and the resummation of NLL non-global corrections to jet observables at all orders.
