Description

I give some remarks on the current status of gauge coupling unification after a generation of precision electroweak measurements and LHC results. In particular we will discuss the impacts from the discovery of the Higgs boson and the non-discovery of supersymmetric particles on the posterior viability of gauge coupling unification and grand unification.
