The science editorial office of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.) produces six newspaper pages weekly, it supports other departments within the F.A.Z. and runs the science content of the faz.net website. The talk offers a brief tour to the office and attempts a tentative classification of the ways in which news and topics in the field physics typically make it into print and/or online articles. The challenges and chances posed by digitalization are briefly discussed.
