Abstract:
In recent CMS and ATLAS publications it has been argued that
current measurements of ttbar cross section and spin correlations
near the production threshold require the addition of a large
cross section component due to toponium production.
In this talk I will show that both the cross section and spin
correlations can be computed in perturbation theory without the
need for the addition of a toponium contribution, and I will discuss
the current status of the comparison of the experimental findings
with theoretical expectations.
