Modular forms, which are ubiquitous in both pure mathematics
and mathematical physics, satisfy several different kinds of differential equations.
I will give a brief survey of these and then, depending on the audience's
interests, concentrate either on the linear equations of Picard-Fuchs type
or on the so-called modular linear differential equations that are playing
an increasing role in conformal field theory and the study of VOAs.
