Up to now, the only failure of the Standard Model, otherwise remarkably successful, is the prediction of vanishing neutrino mass. Arguably, the origin and the nature of neutrino mass provides one of central, if not the central, windows into new physics. The main message of my talk is that hadronic colliders, such as the LHC, offer hope to open that window.
I argue furthermore that this issue is related to the fundamental question of left-right symmetry in nature. I will show that the minimal LR symmetric model is a self-contained and predictive theory of neutrino mass, in complete analogy with the SM situation for the charged fermions.
