In this talk I will discuss some possible implications of the hints for deviations from the Standard Model observed in B-meson decays. After an introduction on the anomalies and some general considerations, I will present a model of scalar leptoquarks that can address these experimental deviations, while being consistent with flavor and collider constraints, and study its implications in other low- and high-energy observables.
