Precise Results for the Strong Coupling Constant and Heavy Quark Masses

Recent four- and five-loop results, combined with precise measurements at electron-positron colliders, lead to a significantly improved determination of the strong coupling constant and the charm and bottom quark masses. A brief discussion of the calculational techniques and results will be followed by a phenomenological analysis of the data and their implication for alpha_s, m_c and m_b.
