Neutrino Astrophysics and Neutrino Flavor

The observational field of neutrino astrophysics appears to be on the verge of discoveries. For example, the IceCube detector has just attained an exposure below the ``Waxman-Bahcall benchmark'', which is our best and simplest guess for the astrophysical neutrino flux. This talk will address the astrophysics and particle physics that can be learned from measurements of astrophysical neutrinos. Particular attention will be paid to inferences to be drawn from measurements of neutrino flavor ratios.
