LHC powered by factorization: resummation and higher-order QCD

Lots of progress in collider precision phenomenology is made possible by factorization theorems. In this talk I present the calculation and phenomenology for two example applications that I recently worked on, both of which are based on factorization theorems derived in SCET: Transverse momentum resummation at N3LL matched to NNLO fixed-order predictions, and NNLO corrections to t-channel single-top-quark production.
