The 2018 edition of the festivities honouring Nuestra señora del Pilar take place in Zaragoza 6-14 of October and overlap with the meeting. The city tends to receive loads of people to enjoy the activities, concerts, parades, etc. We are not overlapping with the heart of the matter, but still it is strongly advised to book your accomodattion as soon as possible.
Zaragoza is not tiny, but can be confortably walked up and down. The conference venue and the social events are conveniently located along the axis of the one and only tram line, so attendants not so fond of their morning and night walks, will found themselves teletransported quite conveniently to their target locations if they chose their hotel close to the tram line.
The University of Zaragoza has an agreement with several local hotels to offer rooms (breakfast included) under special prizes. The list can be found here.
