sFCal Analysis Workshop Hands-on working meetings to analyse sFCal/FCal+ITK simulated events for the upcoming sFCal review end of June 2016
The workshop will be organized at the Max-Planck-Institut für Physik in topical days depending on the availability of particiapnts. Subjects include but are not limited to:
Vector Boson Fusion and the performance of forward jets
tagging efficiency of forward jets
energy resolution
Impact of the sFCal/FCal on physics at high luminosity
forward Z and Z' reconstruction
forward W and other fat jets
jet substructure and cluster moments in the forward region
PileUp Suppression
separation of hard scatter and pileup jets
energy thresholds and correlations
Position Resolution and Jet substructure
combination with forward tracker
position resolution inside jets
Missing Transverse Momentum
MET tails for large MET and small x-sections
MET resolution
Trigger
Level 1 thresholds for VBF jets
SuperCell granularity
Timing
time as further handle on PileUp suppression
A twiki page at CERN is available to collect all information relevant for the review: SFCalReview Twiki
We try to connect to the standard (audio only!) vidyo room of the bi-weekly sFCal Analysis meeting during the workshop (details below) but due to the hands-on nature of the workshop not all activities will be possible to follow remotely.
